Translation "1C: Chronograph School" on the ACT

From the poster: completing the “velvet” transition to open source software in several educational institutions, at the end of this year I encountered the following problem: in classrooms, on typewriters, teachers, methodologists and secretaries, the existence of Windows in the boot menu was due only to the existence of 1C: Chronograph. Even with the help of quite official instructions and descriptions of successful follow-ups, the problem of the stable operation of this proprietary product under Linux has not been solved for a long time. However, under Windows this 1C stability is no different.

Over the past year, several groups of specialists tried to solve the problem in my region ... And the day before I received a letter from the head of our Regional Resource Center, EV Mihalyova, her team managed to figure out the reasons for the inapplicability of the official instructions, to seriously finalize it and achieve stable school work Chronograph under AltLinux 4 Master. Next up is the revision for AltLinux 5 and popular ubuntu-based distributions.

“On November 15-17, in the Shelekhovsky district of the Irkutsk region, a seminar of the Regional Resource Center on the network installation of AltLinux and Edubuntu was held in the classrooms and its subsequent configuration. Employees of 16 territorial resource centers of the Irkutsk region and engineering and technical staff of municipal education administrations (in which similar centers are not organized) were trained on it. The ORC staff also developed an improved manual and finalized the standard installation scripts “1C: Chronograph”

Changes to installation scripts:

• Removed a line designed to automatically remove the wine program and its dependent programs. Instead, manual removal of these programs is added because these programs are not always removed and replaced with necessary ones. That in the future may lead to improper installation.
