Professor implants the lens on the back of the head (students against)

Professor of photography and art at the School of Art at New York University Wafaa Bilal (Wafaa Bilal) announced an art project, the like of which the world has not yet seen. The professor is going to connect a digital camera to his head, which will take pictures of what is happening behind his back once a minute.

The camera will be attached to the head in a manner similar to a piercer.

According to the meter, less than a month is left before the launch of the project 3rdI (“The Third Eye”). The action starts on December 15 in cooperation with the Arab Museum of Contemporary Art , on the screens of which a picture will come from the head of the professor (not in real time, of course, but after the accumulation of a certain number of shots).

However, this remarkable project also found opponents - students who study at the School of Art, writes the NY Times . Professor Bilil reads three courses, so the number of potential photographic objects is very large. Students do not like that the teacher will now have in the literal sense of the word an eye on the back of the head.

This is not the first extravagant experiment of Wafa Bilal. In 2008, as part of the Virtual Jihadi project, he hacked a computer game and inserted his avatar on a suicide bomber hung with explosives, who was hunting President George W. Bush. That artistic work caused mass public protests, the authorities forcibly closed the exposition, and then human rights activists opened a lawsuit in defense of Bilal.

In 2007, as part of the “Domestic Tension” project, Professor Bilal settled for a month in the art gallery of Chicago, and anyone could shoot him with a paintball rifle, aiming over the Internet.

In June of this year, Vafa Bilal tattooed on his back a map of Iraq with the name of cities and the number of victims of both sides of the armed conflict.
