Fully robotic farm

Robots are gradually replacing people not only from production lines, call centers and other industries, but even from farms. Who knows, maybe in the future there will be fully robotized farms that will themselves grow, feed, milk and butcher cows, ensuring uninterrupted supply of meat and milk to the city.

International agrocorporation Lely has released a new generation of automatic milk collection systems Astronaut A4 . Now this complex works without any human presence at all. The cow itself decides when to milk it. She enters a special room, the doors close behind her. Motion sensors, 3D cameras, a teat detection system and other mechanisms are included in the case - robots process the cow in full (video below). Then the animal leaves.

People on such a farm need only to pick up the finished product.

Auto-tweakers appeared about 20 years ago, but the Astronaut A4 computer complex with various sensors and surveillance cameras is a completely different level. It's amazing how much progress these technologies have made in recent years.

Lely is now touring an experimental cheese production farm in Brittany, France. The production process is fully automated. The farm contains 180 cows, and three employees come there only on Sundays, because French law requires the presence of people at least once a week.

The lighting system on an automated farm works automatically in a therapeutic mode (adapted for cows), feeding occurs strictly on schedule. There are even cleaning robots (model Lely Luna).
