Event in iTunes: after all The Beatles

Apple.com revealed a secret that intrigued yesterday: “a big event in iTunes” - the appearance of The Beatles records in the iTunes Store. However, several publications (including the Wall Street Journal) wrote about this even before the official announcement.

This event is so important for Apple for several reasons. First, The Beatles were practically the only super popular group still missing from the iTunes Store: from now on, it becomes for the average user a “music store with everything”. Secondly, they still regularly confirm the status of the best-selling group in history - that is, it is simply a tidbit. Thirdly, Apple had long wanted to get the band's catalog, but they had a difficult relationship because of the old clashes around the Apple brand (the label was founded by the group in the same way), and this event means the end of the conflict that has borne both parties. In recent years, Paul McCartney has repeatedly said that he would like the band to appear on the iTunes Store and Apple themselves would like the same, the conflict is essentially settled, but the formalities and the messing around with the papers make it difficult to do away with everything and forget about it. By the way, The Beatles records were not found in other legal online music services, they were sold only on physical media - that is, for the Beatles, this is generally a virtual debut.
