C Java on Mac OS X is not so sad

picture so as not to be bored Not so long ago, it became known that Apple stops developing its own version of the JVM. This event caused a wide resonance , and was perceived by the majority as a clear sign of the decline of Java. Yes, the platform is not the best of times, the development of the new version is not as fast as we would like, but it is still early to die .

And there was a confirmation of this , again from Apple: the company is actively connecting to the OpenJDK project in order to create a full-fledged open-source Java machine for Mac OS X.

If we recall that IBM also connected to the project (after leaving Apache Harmony), then we can assume that everything that happens is not a sunset at all, but a new life for Java. After all, JVM perfectly exists under Windows, not being developed by Microsoft and included in the delivery system.
