Hello, HabraUzer!
This is our first post on Habrahabr. We are the company "Electronic Office Systems", abbreviated - EOS. Maybe someone heard about us, someone (we really hope so!) Is familiar with or even works with our products - we are developing electronic document management systems, ECM solutions and other information management products.
The terms “electronic document management” and Enterprise Content Management sound very impressive and solid, and therefore, to someone, perhaps, the topic will seem academic and tedious, but we know that this is not so - we are very sure of it.
')
We created our first document management system, "DELO," back in 1996, therefore we were actually present when the Russian automation market was in the making. At the moment, our system occupies, according to independent estimates, about 35% of the SED market in Russia and has actually become the de facto standard. Now in our product line - besides EDMS solution on the SharePoint platform - it includes EOS for SharePoint, ECM-system eDocLib, platform for providing cryptographic protection "KARMA" and a number of other useful developments.
We also know the challenges that we face when introducing and developing ECM systems, for example, solutions based on SharePoint. Moreover, we even imagine (at least approximately) how this market will develop in the future and what it will bring to companies, the state and even ordinary users. In this blog, we really want to share our knowledge, dreams and hopes. So we will mainly write about this, about new trends and prospects for the development of ECM. Sometimes we will talk about interesting, already implemented projects, but not formally - they say, such and such a company has implemented ECM - but objectively and vividly as possible. We will do without advertising, but we will still talk about our products little by little - a lot of our thoughts and time are invested in them, so where can we go without them.
Who else, if not IT-shnik, which make up a significant part of habra people, is aware that the creation, implementation and use of any automation systems, including EDMS and ECM, is full of various nuances and possible pitfalls. It is precisely the IT staff that often bumps from disgruntled results of the implementation of the manual. For our part, we will try, by answering questions and participating in the discussion of those close to us, to provide all possible assistance in preventing such situations - perhaps then you will not need a basket for bumps, and there will be no bruises from the blows.
So we hope that you will have questions and comments - for this we are here. We will be glad. We are ready to condemn any questions on this topic, problems and plans.
PS When I re-read the post and saw a large number of abbreviations, I remembered an old joke: "I know karate, sambo, judo ... and many other scary words."
