New Zealand programmer creates a bot bot

I do not even know where this topic can be attributed, but rather to the one where it is now. The other day, a programmer from New Zealand named Paul Hankin announced his development, which he jokingly calls "consumer bot." The bot works according to an interesting algorithm that allows the program to buy all sorts of stuff on the Web (no more than a couple of dollars). Moreover, the bot makes a purchase with probability every three days. What for? Read more - in continuation.

So, for each day the bot is allocated an amount of two dollars, for which he must buy something interesting. Purchases are made at the local online store TradeMe, good, he opened his own API for third-party companies, and our programmer did not fail to take advantage of this. The idea of creating a bot-buyer Hankina came up with a comic , where the invented programmer writes a script that buys all garbage on Ebay. In the comic, the bot spends $ 1 every day, and our hero constantly gets either a bear trap, a ski mask, something else interesting. In the end, he gets a "Pentagon tourist map", and decides to engage in bot deals on the Web.

Comic watched? Let's talk now about the real bot. Hankin decided to repeat the actions of the hero of the comics, so that every day he would also be surprised at the goods purchased. The bot now even has its own Twitter account , where the program places information about purchases, plans for the current day and the amount of money saved.
')
So, the probability of buying once every three days is created so that the bot can save money to buy the Shuttle of a larger purchase. The customer program works only the third day, and during that time I have already bought a USB extension cable, a set of Maxell SR626SW batteries (5 pieces) and saved $ 1.

The programmer has tried to create such an algorithm, according to which the bot will buy only unique things, moreover, are rare (yes, who needs a five hundred thousandth stapler, right?). Soon the programmer will publish photos of purchased items. The bot has a charity fund where you can make money for purchases. The programmer promises to give all donations to the program =)

In general, it is useless, but interesting, that's for sure.
