In the summer I already told Habra about how you can squeeze all your old consoles inside the gamepad from any of them. If someone has forgotten what we are talking about, we have since the demo video left:
In the comments to the post, I promised you within 3 weeks to make a kit for self-assembly of this device. And now, after 3 months, it is ready for sale.) This is a great DIY project on a day off for those whose hands were long reaching for a soldering iron, but he did not know where to start. If you are one of them - welcome under the cat for details. In short, during the summer release, we realized that there is no need to write detailed instructions for newbies, if they contain the words “ LUT ”, “programmer”, “fusion bits”, etc. Therefore, we have released device that is represented in the video. All you need to do now is to find a gamepad from your old Dendy or SEGA in your attics and closets, and insert the assembled kit into it, following simple instructions . To taste, you can add hubs / flash drives, so that the result becomes completely mobile. ')
Of course, all that is in the kit, factory quality. The microcontroller is pre-flashed and tested. Since our last announcement, we have increased the reliability of the shemk by adding a couple of elements that we couldn’t use before due to the size of the board’s production. We also managed to successfully test the device (without the frontend) on all operating systems to which we have reached out. From Win98 to FreeBSD and MacOS. And timsat promises to make the next cosmetic changes to the firmware by the end of this week.
And finally: Do not forget that all project materials, including wiring diagrams, firmware sources, XBMC assemblies and home tutorials are publicly available on Google projects hosting.
