But, since the competition in this area is very substantial, and it would be difficult for the new company to break through with its products, the Kno management decided to release tablets designed for students. It is these devices that are called “electronic notebook”. True, their cost is not quite as in a notebook, or rather, not at all. But let's get everything in order.

In the first case, exchanging our money for a tablet, we get a device with one display, but in the second case everything is much more interesting - there are already two displays. Immediately after entering the market, tablets will be sold at a discount on 10 campuses in the United States, counting on a viral effect among students.

It is worth noting that Kno recently received $ 46 million in additional investments, which is not bad for a start-up company. Now a few dozen tablets will be distributed to students on those same campuses in order to get feedback from potential consumers of the product. In this case, half of the students from a group of volunteers will receive a device with one display, and the second half - with two displays.

As for the device configuration, the company introduced the following specification: 14.1-inch display (which is more than the vast majority of modern tablets) with a resolution of 1440 * 900 pixels, a battery capable of working 6-8 hours on one charge, Tegra platform 2 and 16 gigabytes of internal memory. In principle, it is quite enough for normal operation as an “electronic notebook”.

It seems that the device can really be in demand among students - but probably there are not so many people in the USA who, as students, can easily find almost $ 900 on a similar tablet. Although, who knows, maybe this device will work so well that students will look for money wherever they can, wanting to get the coveted device. We'll see.
