Everyscape - a three-dimensional image of places on the planet from ordinary photographs.

Everyscape - a site that is going to show the whole world, both outside and inside. It is planned to realize such an inconceivable undertaking with the help of ordinary photographs. The fact is that Everyscape founder Mok Oh (Mok Oh) developed and patented a technology that allows you to create three-dimensional effects and “stitch” a number of photos together. The results of the work will be displayed using Adobe Flash technology through a browser window.

At each viewpoint, small green arrows will be displayed, with the help of which you can smoothly fall into neighboring viewpoints, including inside neighboring buildings - an interesting three-dimensional flight effect is used for this. You can also view some additional information about the place. Now on the Everyscape site, you can see Union Square in San Francisco.

To create such three-dimensional images, the creators of Everyscape need to know the coordinates and orientation of the camera at the time of shooting. These data will be needed when “gluing” photos and adding them to the image.

In addition to his professional team, Everyscape plans to seek the help of ordinary users. Everyscape calls such enthusiasts Scape artists - to become one of them, you need to register on the Scape Artist page. Thus, getting Everyscape photos will be an order of magnitude cheaper than Microsoft (with its Photosynth project) and Google (with Google Maps Street View).

This fall, Everyscape will release an image of San Francisco. By the end of the year, 10 cities will be available, including Boston, New York and Seattle. If you live in the USA and want Everyscape photographers to come to your city, you need to leave a request on this page .
