Then the percentage of devices with Android was 28%, now the share of such devices is 44%, which is a very significant indicator.

By the way, the BlackBerry themselves suffer "oppression" from the "apple" devices. So, RIM smartphones now occupy 24% of the US mobile phone market. But the "Apple" iPhone occupy more than 26%. Despite the fact that experts and just gadget lovers are now being criticized by Nokia, this company still holds 33% of the global market. True, experts predict a quick loss by the Finnish company of a relatively large part of the world market. And experts' forecasts regarding Nokia are becoming more pessimistic. So, a year ago, most experts bet that Symbian will remain the leader in 2012 too. However, apparently, Android devices will soon overtake Symbian-based smartphones.

By the way, already experts of a different kind - those that study the security of mobile platforms of various types, claim that there are quite a few vulnerabilities in Android OS. So, at the moment there are about 359 major and minor vulnerabilities in this OS, 88 of them are critical. Of course, statistics is not the most objective science, but 88 critical vulnerabilities is still an indicator. True, the developers of the Android OS are known for eliminating problems in their operating system very quickly. In any case, faster than other operating systems. Hopefully, the found vulnerabilities will be quickly fixed.
