Facebook statistics on breakup dates

Thanks to Facebook, scientists were able to collect unique information that they had nowhere to take.







Writer and designer David McCundless , author of various remarkable works in the field of infographics, in collaboration with Lee Byron , a designer of Facebook information interfaces, scanned 10,000 changes in personal statuses on Facebook and collected data about what time of year people most often break off relationships. They did this illustration for The Visual Miscellaneum .



During his talk at TED Talk, David McCundless says that most of the breaks occur in one of three periods: early spring, summer vacation, or two weeks before Christmas. However, the day of Christmas itself is a record low day in the number of fatal quarrels.

In addition, it turned out that couples prefer to disperse on Mondays, obviously, after the events of the weekend.
