Steve Jobs offered the post of the first Google CEO

It turns out that when Larry Page and Sergey Brin chose a candidate for the post of the first president of the company, then after watching 12 or 13 candidates they turned to Steve Jobs. Unfortunately, to no avail: they could not tear Jobs away from his "favorite poppies." When the attempt failed, the next candidate was Eric Schmidt. Larry and Sergey liked that he was going to the Burning Man hippie festival in the Nevada desert. Schmidt has been successfully working at Google so far.

We learned about this from the new series of the documentary film Bloomberg Game Changers (released October 28, 21:00 EDT) about the founders of Google. The entire 48-minute episode can be viewed here .

Bloomberg Game Changers is a film about the most influential people in the modern industry. Previous episodes were devoted to Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs ( video ) and John Stewart.
