McAfee report published: the most dangerous domain zones in the world
McAfee conducted a study where they found out which top-level domains are the most dangerous (% of dangerous sites in this zone). So:

TOP5 dangerous top-level domain zones (TLD):

• .COM (Commercial) 31.3%
• .INFO (Information) 30.7%
• .VN (Vietnam) 29.4%
• .CM (Cameroon) 22.2%
• .AM (Armenia) 12.1%

Top5 safe top level zones (TLD):

• .TRAVEL (Travel and Tourism Industry) .02%
• .EDU (Educational) .05%
• .JP (Japan) .08%
• .CAT (Catalan) .09%
• .GG (Guernsey) .10%

Obviously, the danger zones are such because of the mass, price, attractiveness and accessibility. And for registering a domain in the .travel and .edu zones, you need to confirm your involvement in the field of activity, there are a number of restrictions for domains in .CAT, of course, such conditions reduce the risks of the appearance of dangerous sites in these zones.
