Windows 7 turns 1 year old! 240 million licenses sold

October 22, Windows 7 operating system will be 1 year old. The official Blogging Windows blog publishes official information on the number of licenses sold: more than 240 million licenses of Windows 7 were sold in one year. This makes Windows 7 the fastest-selling operating system in history.

As of September 2010, Windows 7 was pre-installed on 93% of all new consumer PCs. According to Net Applications, on October 1, the share of this OS in the world market was already 17%. It is reported about the rapid adaptation to the system by OEM partners of Microsoft: in the first six months, 100% of partners (more than 18,000 in total) sold PCs with Windows 7, which exceeds the figure of Windows Vista which was 70% during this period.
