Anonymous from Qatar banned on Wikipedia
Residents of Qatar who are not registered on Wikipedia will no longer be able to edit articles in it. The IP addresses of the country where about 900.000 people live were blocked by the administration of the online encyclopedia due to the large amount of spam and vandalism.
As explained on this page , the IP addresses of Qatar Telecom (Qtel), the only Internet service provider in Qatar, have been banned. Thus, users from this country can no longer edit pages anonymously.

UPDATE: Qatari unlock Jimmy Wales! :) On the page mentioned above there was a message from the founder of Wikipedia, who explained that the lock did not last more than 12 hours and was already removed.
