Apple has sent letters with information about the iPhone

This newsletter describes the main functions of the phone, indicates the date of release on the 29th number, and it seems like nothing new, just the last line alerted: "To set up your iPhone, you'll have to download Apple’s iTunes Store." it only says that in order to “fill up” the phone with information, you can create an account on the iTunes Store, or will it be impossible to use the phone without it?
