The history of HTC cooperation with Microsoft is simple and ordinary. The idea of making high-quality QWERTY devices based on Windows Mobile provided a place for the Taiwanese company in the sun. Then HTC turned its attention to the Android platform when the green monster was at its peak (and Windows Mobile was slowly fading into the background). But what do we have today? Yesterday 10 devices based on Windows Phone 7 were announced, half of them from HTC. It seems that this is the HTC application for a new wave of cooperation with Redmond. Speaking yesterday at a press conference in Taipei, HTC CEO Peter Chou said: “Now we have Windows Phone 7 and Android, we are paying attention to both platforms, but let's let the market decide.” Peter also promised more WP7-based devices in 2011, without going into technical details. So you can safely expect new interesting devices and a new wave of holivar device owners on different platforms.
