Known to many, ElcomSoft reports the successful hacking of the RIM BlackBerry's communicator protection system. So far we are talking only about the client subsystem, and not about the server part, however, even this is a significant achievement - after all, programmers in many countries have tried to hack the BlackBerry. If anyone succeeds, then this is not reported - so Elcomsoft is considered the first company that managed to do this.
Almost immediately after a successful hack, the company released a new version of the program Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker. In previous versions of this software, it was possible to crack password-protected backup copies of Apple iPhone and iPod Touch mobile devices. Now, in the new version of the program, the possibility of hacking password-protected backups on BlackBerry has appeared. This archive includes messages, email, contacts, log of web pages, various settings.
According to the developers, their software allows you to "recover" passwords for these devices. But it is clear that not only those who forgot the password from the backup archive of their own mobile device will work with the program. But what to do - it has always been the reverse side of the work of such software.

By the way, the new version of the program provides for the use of graphics adapter resources installed in the system. Currently, Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker is the only program that allows you to both read and encrypt all data from the system storage of a mobile device, which contains both encryption keys and various passwords for mail accounts and Internet service accounts.
Interestingly, Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker works autonomously, without using the desktop software Apple iTunes or the BlackBerry Desktop Software. The software works with operating systems such as Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Manufacturers claim that this software package can be very useful for law enforcement officers, who can now get access to previously closed archived data of mobile offenders' devices. Of course, there are not so many violators in Russia who work with BlackBerry or iPhone.
