Nokia e-skin

Engineers from Nokia Research Center and Cambridge made the first prototypes of the so-called " electronic skin " (electronic skin) - printed circuit boards from a flexible material with a touchpad. Conductor obtained by vacuum deposition of gold.

Such boards will be used for the production of wearable electronics. The phone can, for example, be sewn into clothing or put on a brush, like a rubber bandage.

The new material is like rubber and can stretch by 20% without damaging the electronic components.
