HP announced the name of its new CEO and president. They became the former CEO of SAP Leo Apotheker. Apotheker, who has worked at SAP for more than 20 years, will also be on the board of directors of HP. He will take office on November 1st.
Officially, he became the successor to Katie Leszhak, who became interim CEO in August, and will now return to the post of CFO. The previous CEO of the company, Mark Hurd, resigned after it was established that he had violated the company's business ethics code. He now holds the position of co-president at Oracle.
