Android 2.1 is finally available for the LG GT540

Officially, the release of 2.1 for the GT540 has not yet been announced, but the firmware is already available.
You install the firmware at your own risk! If you want to be sure of the result - contact the official LG service center.
For those who are not yet in the know, but are thinking about reflashing it is worth noting that the process is different for everyone. Someone is easy and calm, and sometimes it happens with dances with a tambourine and with problems. This situation was with all previous firmware updates on Android 1.6, and this is now with 2.1. Unfortunately, the LG service software leaves much to be desired.

I put everything right the first time and without problems, automatically using KDZ_FW_UPD.exe according to the instructions from w3bsit3-dns.com.
However, I already had experience installing previous firmware.
After installation, contacts with google were synchronized safely. If you use the Russian-language menu, do not worry - in the list of what exactly to synchronize you will see for some reason the two items “Sync. Calendar ”- one of them is contacts of another and a true calendar, but it works fine. Translation features. :)
In the early 1.6 firmware there were problems with the receipt of SMS notifications - checked, on 2.1 notifications come normally!
Put the "Voice Search" (he, as you know, only works on 2.1 and above) - works fine.
