When browsing the Ubuntu Software Center, have you ever wondered:
• How does he display screenshots?
• Who uploads screenshots?
• Why are some of the screenshots completely obsolete?
Ubuntu Software Center pulls out these screenshots from
screenshots.debian.net . Anyone can upload screenshots to this site.

Keeping up with software versions that changes in almost every release is not an easy task. Often, new screenshots are not uploaded; therefore, screenshots of outdated software versions are displayed in the Application Center.
Want to help fix it?
Open your favorite application and take a screenshot of the program in action. (Screenshots should be in PNG format.) If necessary, crop the image to display only the program. Then download it on this site. (No login or email is required!)
After the picture has been uploaded, wait for the great Debian administrators to review to see your screenshots for the whole world.
What about fonts?
There are more than 200 font packs available, but each has hardly any screenshots. You can do the same for fonts.
Or did you even be able to write a script that generates a screen shot for each font pack?
