We have just released a new version of the Gmail application on the Android Market, and now the Gmail updates are no longer tied to releases of the new version of Android (
to avoid being accused in contradiction, I’ll explain that they are not tied to the releases of the new version of Android, and not to the new version of Android. T .. for the operation of the application is still required Froyo - apply. transl. ). Now you can get new Gmail faster without having to wait for the system updates to be released. To begin with, we have improved the answers to letters, access to the quoted text and much more.
The most important actions with a letter will now always be available at the top of the screen when scrolling through a letter, all in one click, and no matter how long the letter is.

')
Do you remember the answer to what is the latest letter in the thread? Now you can view the contents of the previous letter (
meaning the quoted text of the previous letter in the current letter - approx. Transl. ) Much easier, just as in the desktop version of Gmail. Touch “Show quoted text” to see the content of the previous message.

Finally, in this updated version of the Gmail application, there is limited support for
Priority Inbox (
I already did a translation about this - comment. Transl. ). If you’ve already enabled Priority Inbox via the desktop version of Gmail, you’ll see a
label, “Important,” which contains all messages marked as “Important.” You can even add a
shortcut “Important” to your home screen.

This Gmail update requires Froyo (Android version 2.2), so this application is available for the Nexus One, HTC EVO, Motorola Droid 2 or Motorola Droid (
Comments indicate that the application also works on HTC Desire and even on G1 with CM6 firmware - app translate. ) (Not sure if your device is running Android version 2.2?

Update the app via Android Market (scan the QR code below or
click here if you're on the phone) to check out the new Gmail. We would love to hear what you think, write android-apps-support@google.com.
Update 9/21/10 12:26 pm PDT: There is a known problem when the headers are not fixed correctly in the upper part of the screen on HTC phones like EVO 4G and Droid Incredible. We are working on it.
