Researchers from the University of Michigan, faculties of electrical engineering and kinesiology (this is the physiology of movements), have teamed up to create a reliable and easy-to-use system that allows you to track your own physical activity. Nowadays it is really difficult to keep track of how much you work at the computer, of course, sitting (or lying down), and how much - you are physically working (at least charging). In general, without thinking twice, Americans have created a wireless system that truly tracks a person’s physical activity. To do this, you need to attach three small wireless sensors on the body, on certain parts of the body (wrist, shoulder, knee). That's all, the preparation for the system is completed. After that, all the data read by the sensors will be transferred wirelessly to computers equipped with special software.
“Our system allows us to add another way to the measurement of our physical activity,” said Karin Pfeiffer from the Faculty of Kinesiology. According to the scientist, the system is very useful in the fight against obesity, because it allows you to sort out the user's active time - how much he moves and how he moves.

Of course, there are different types of accelerometers that allow you to perform a number of similar tasks, but the wireless activity monitoring system has a number of advantages, among which there is constant monitoring of the “wards”, and this monitoring is very accurate. The system allows you to measure the total time of active physical work, the total idle time (physical), the amount of energy expended and other characteristics. Among these “others” are tilts, posture, the general position of the limbs and the cumulative ratio of these factors.
It is worth noting that scientists have been working on creating their system for several years, spending more than 400 thousand dollars. By the way, NASA also took part in the project investment, so the project is quite large.
Now scientists have presented a fully working prototype, which will later be tested in a group of volunteer students. Actually, but who else can experience such devices if not on students, right? In general, scientists hope that when using such a system, you can quickly create an individual set of physical exercises for any person - this is one of the many plans associated with this project.
