According to the latest statistics from Nielsen, the Bing search engine
outperformed Yahoo, ranking second in the number of search queries in the US after Google.
Google continues to hold first place in recent years. In August 2010, its share in the United States was 65%. Yahoo continued its decline and in August its share was 13.1% (in July it was 14.6%, and 16% the year before). This allowed Bing with a share of 13.9% to go to second place in the US among search engines.

The Nielsen study is the first to register a change in the top three. The comScore and Hitwise data show that Yahoo is still in second place, while Bing is in third place.
According to representatives of Nielsen, the growth of Bing occurred largely due to the fall of Yahoo, so it is too early to talk about the real consolidation of Bing in second position. However, it is obvious that the trend is exactly that.
