Laptop sales began to decline

According to NPD and Morgan Stanley , August 2010 was the first month in history (!), When laptop sales in the USA (year to year) showed a negative trend. Sales growth has steadily declined for six months in a row. Does anyone else have doubts that the iPad cannibalize the laptop market ?
