Press release following the congress of the Pirate Party of Russia

A new political party will appear in Russia soon. This decision was made by the delegates of the first congress of the Pirate Party of Russia, which was held September 10-12, 2010 in Malakhovka, Moscow Region.
Representatives of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don and other regions of Russia participated in the congress. The international coordinator of the Pirate Party of Germany and the co-chairman of Pirate Parties International - Gregory Engels attended.

The organizing congress adopted an action program for the year, the key point in which is the registration of the Pirate Party as a political party.
To participate in the elections, the party created the "School of the candidate."
The congress also supported the first candidate to the city of Shumerlya of the Chuvash Republic from the Pirate Party of Russia Ivankov Alexander.
The basis of the internal organization of the party adopted direct e-democracy.

A resolution was adopted under the ironic name “Malakhov Protocol” .
