FSB adopts Russian drones

Until now, it was believed that domestic UAVs in all respects are inferior to Western ones. The state spent on the development and testing of UAVs 5 billion rubles, but the tests ended unsuccessfully, and in 2009 Russia was forced to buy a trial batch of Israeli vehicles.

The Ministry of Defense announced that it will buy domestic UAVs only when they catch up with Western specimens (Vega promises to do so by 2013). However, the FSB is already satisfied with the quality of domestic technology.
