Nokia has published a
press release about the resignation of President and CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo (
left ) and the exercise of this position by Stephen Ilop (
right ).


Information that Nokia is looking for a new CEO
appeared in July , but this was not officially confirmed. Now it is announced that Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, who has worked in the company for more than 30 years, will leave his current post on September 20. In accordance with the contract, Kallasvuo is entitled to severance pay in the amount of 4.6 million euros.

On September 21, the vacant post will be occupied by Canadian Stephen Ilop, who has a degree in computer engineering and management from McMaster University. He now heads the Microsoft business area, and previously held senior positions at a number of US companies, including Juniper Networks, Adobe Systems, and Macromedia.
