Cosmonaut-blogger denied the title of Hero of Russia

The Ministry of Defense refused to assign the title of Hero of Russia to the pilot-cosmonaut Maxim Suraev , about whom he wrote several times on Habré . What did Maxim Suraev do?

• Launched on September 30, 2009 as commander of the Soyuz TMA-16 spacecraft
• Successfully docked to the International Space Station "
• Made a spacewalk lasting 05 h 44 min
• He became the first domestic astronaut, leading his blog , while in flight.
• On March 18, 2010, the Soyuz TMA-16 spacecraft undocked from the ISS and on the same day the descent capsule of the spacecraft made a soft landing on the territory of Kazakhstan
• The flight duration was 169 days. 04 h 09 min 37 s.

In the past 20 years, astronauts who flew into orbit have been awarded the title Hero of Russia and awarded the corresponding distinction - the Gold Star medal. Since 1991, 31 astronauts made an orbital flight, and 30 of them were awarded the honorary title. The only exception was Boris Morukov, who flew to the ISS aboard the Atlantis shuttle.

Maybe, indeed, almost all my life preparing for flight, spending half a year in space, being in outer space for 5 hours, not to mention restoring health after half-year weightlessness, is not worthy of the title of Hero of Russia?
