The UVB-76 station gave the fourth signal in 30 years
The shortwave radio station UVB-76 is located in the village of Povarovo, 40 km north-west of Moscow ( satellite photo ). Among radio amateurs around the world known as the "Hummer" (The Buzzer). Since 1982, it has been broadcasting continuous round-the-clock noise at a frequency of 4,625 kHz (a link to the online broadcast ). The buzzing sound lasts 0.8 seconds, is interrupted for 1-1.3 seconds and repeats 21-34 times per minute. The destination station is unknown.
For all 28 years of broadcasting, only three cases were recorded when a voice message was broadcast. Each time it was a kind of encrypted message in Russian. And on August 23, 2010 it happened again .
According to Western radio amateurs, at approximately 17:32 GMT, the UVB-76 station transmitted the following message: "UVB-76, UVB-76 - 93 882 NAIMINA 74 14 35 74 - 9 3 8 8 Nikolai, Anna, Ivan, Mikhail, Ivan , Nikolay, Anna, 7, 4, 1, 4, 3, 5, 7, 4 ”( mp3 ). The previous broadcasting of the station was carried out on December 24, 1997, September 12, 2002 and February 21, 2006. ')
