Scientists have created an antenna implant

In general, seeing this news, most people immediately associate with a community of people, each of whom is monitored. In general, something like 1984, only in a modern way. Of course, everything can be, although the new antenna-implant was created by doctors with the most, that neither is a good goal (yes, let's remember the saying about good intentions). Interestingly, in this case the meme "British scientists" is inapplicable, because scientists from Italy distinguished themselves. The researchers created a miniature antenna of "liquid" silk and sputtered gold particles. Why such an implant is needed? Scientists argue that this technological innovation will track people disliked by the government, injecting poison in the event that certain proteins and organic compounds. The antenna will continue to be part of the system of continuous monitoring of the state of the human body.

For example, such an antenna will give a signal in case of a change in the level of glucose in the body of a diabetic, or report a shortage of certain useful substances. Fiorenzo Omenetto, a professor of biomedical engineering at Tufts University, argues that silk is the best material for creating such a device, since it is biologically compatible with almost any tissue. In addition, it is very durable - stronger than the same Kevlar of similar size and thickness. Being implanted into the body, such an antenna will not remind of itself (aha, and it will not be as easy to detect it as various superheroes in fantastic films do).
')
How will the antenna transfer the necessary data "out"? Everything is very difficult, and at the same time simple - it will respond to fluctuations in the electromagnetic field, which lie outside the normal range for "industrial" radiation. Scientists are trying to create such a combination for the material of the antenna, which will respond to the terahertz range - it is in this range that proteins, enzymes and other substances resonate. That is, a table of resonance of various substances will be created, by comparing the data of which, it will be possible to understand which substance is missing, and which, conversely, is in abundance.

The terahertz range is a new area of research that few people previously paid attention to. Now scientists in many countries are working with the "T-rays" of various compounds of the human body and animals. One day, the antenna mentioned above will become part of a reliable system for monitoring various characteristics of the human body.

Already, scientists have checked the operation of the antenna, and were quite pleased with the results - it really resonates with some specific frequencies. The next step, the research phase, will be the implantation of the antenna into the pig and test its work in practice.
