The inscription on the picture: this is just a prototype, but the Chrome OS Tablet is REAL
The news originates in the Western resource DownloadSquad
: one of their reliable
sources shared the information that Google is preparing to launch the Chrome OS Tablet
. It is real and created by HTC. This is not surprising, given the fact that it was HTC that released the Nexus One for Google.
An additional note is that the product will be produced in cooperation with Verizon - also not surprising in light of the latest joint efforts of Google and Verizon to develop a manifesto of neutrality on the Internet. There were also agreements in the past on cooperation in some areas of business.
What about the very launch date of sales - November 26th - that’s just amazing, according to the DownloadSquad resource. The fact is that November 26 is Black Friday
2010 in the USA (after Thanksgiving Day), which is deservedly considered the day of big sales in America. You can already assume that the Chrome OS Tablet will be subsidized to reduce the retail price and competitive prices compared to the iPad. The initiators of the hearing even suggest a completely free of charge
devices at the conclusion of a contract with Verizon.
And finally, the most interesting thing in this news
- what are the characteristics of the Chrome OS Tablet? Most likely, the device will be delivered with NVidia's Tegra 2 chip, multi-touch screen with a resolution of 1280x720, 2GB of RAM, at least 32GB SSD ( here the comrades obviously lied - why so much cloud device?
/ 3G, GPS, webcam, expandable memory through multi-card reader. In general, it is expected that the device will be geeky and advanced, like the Nexus One. Google clearly does not want to disappoint its first buyers.
