New version of Mono Tools 2 for Visual Studio released

Miguel De Icaza in his blog announced the release of a new version of development tools for the Mono platform for Visual Studio .

MonoTools for Visual Studio allows you to create Mono-applications using Visual Studio, debug them on a local Windows machine or remote Linux and MacOS machines, and create packages for deployment to Linux.

The new version of MonoTools 2 made the following changes:

• Added support for the new soft debugger ;
• increased speed of application transfer to the deployment system;
• Added support for Visual Studio 2010 ;
• fixed bugs and other improvements.
