Velcom announces contest for Android developers
Today velcom operator announced that from Monday it will begin selling Android-smartphones at attractive prices. Initially, users will be offered devices Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and Xperia X10 mini and Vivaz Pro, a little later - the device HTC.
The cost of the Xperia X10 will be about 1 million 900 thousand Belarusian rubles ($ 638.65), which is lower than the market value.

The following prizes await the winners of the velcom Android Belarus contest:
1st place - 21,000,000 Belarusian rubles ($ 7058.8) (tax included)
2nd place - 15,000,000 Belarusian rubles ($ 5042) (tax included)
3rd place - 9,000,000 Belarusian rubles ($ 3025.2) (tax included)
4th place - 5 smartphones (Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini and HTC Hero)
To participate, you should register on the site android.velcom.by and within a specified period develop an Android application according to the rules of the contest.
The competition starts on August 1, and the results will be announced on November 20.
